Our Division 1 Girls capped off another impressive performance in the Nike FC Cup, defeating Darebin Falcons 3-1 on Sunday. The Ducks will now prepare to take on Mill Park on Sunday 7 April.
The Ducks have had to overcome two competitive matches in the Nike FC Cup so far.
Round 1 saw the girls take on Malvern City SC at the Pond. An early Alex Wulff goal saw the Ducks take a lead, however Malvern City equalised not long after. Ashley Biki was the hero, following up off a goalkeeper error to seal the victory in extra time and guide the Ducks to the next round.
An away leg to Darebin to challenge the Darebin Falcons awaited in Round 2. Conceding early, the Ducks were on the back foot. A brace to Hannah Harrison saw the Ducks take the lead, before Alex Wulff netted the Ducks third just before full time. Final score 3-1.
We wish the Ducks the best of luck for the next leg. Game to be played on Sunday 7 April at 1pm at Patridge Street Reserve
