The Deakin Ducks dominated against Spring Hills in a 3-0 victory. A great display of football in the first half, with a number of quality chances. However, Spring Hills were able to defend strongly, preventing any breakthrough in the score.
Sam Wyeth’s header from a corner kick at the start of the second half set the tone for the match. Spring Hills’ hopes were dashed further with a red card in the 85th minute, reducing them to 10 players. Isaga Killimbe exploited the advantage, scoring in the 87th minute, thanks to a craft assist from Jacoby. Wyeth sealed the win with his second goal in the 90th minute, following up from a free kick.
Next week the Ducks will face Tarneit away.
