The Ducks were back on the road, in Round 7 of the State League season, this time against Tarneit Utd. With an unchanged line up for the first time this season, the boys were keen to build on their efforts last week.
The Ducks started strongly, creating a number of quality opportunities early. Damon Van Bergeijk opened the scoring in the 20th minute, before Sam Wyeth converted from the spot to go 2-0 up. Wyeth made it 3-0, just before half time.
The second half saw more of the same, as Luke Dahl and Isaga Killimbe put their names on the scoresheet, as we ran away 5-0 winners.
The Reserves went down 3-1 in the earlier fixture. After conceding early, Sam Gower found the perfect response with a well struck free kick. However, relentless pressure from Tarneit made it difficult and we conceded twice more.
Next week the Ducks will face ETA Buffalo away.
